Director of Sales for UK & Ireland
Chris's story ...
The travel industry got into Chris’ bones over 25 years ago via an accidental foray into tour operating with Saga holidays. This was followed by various roles within aviation including the commercial manager of a regional airline, the re-planning of British Airways’ short-haul Gatwick programme, and consultancy for airlines.
From there it was a short flight into hotel representation, working for DMCs and product.
He’s visited over 80 countries in every continent except Antarctica, but still feels there’s so much more to learn about and experience.
When not travelling ...
When not scouting the next adventure abroad, you’ll find Chris doing sport, reading, and appreciating the place where he lives – a beautiful village in South England dating back to 770AD.
Funniest travel memory ...
Even travel experts mess up! On one occasion Chris misread a departure time, subsequently missed the flight and, red-faced, had to explain his short-fallings to his colleagues.
Chris’s Travel Tip
“Myanmar – low season, low season, low season! Go when no one else does, when all the sights are empty and you get them all to yourself“
